LAGRANGE — The measure of a team is not always how they play when faced with a team that is better than they are, but rather how they play when competing against a team that is not playing at their level.
That was the challenge that the Churubusco Lady Eagles had Tuesday night when they traveled to Lagrange to square off against the Lakeland Lady Lakers in a Northeast Corner Conference match.
The Lady Eagles were able to maintain their focus and came away with a win in three straight games.

WARSAW — The Eagles tennis team wasn’t ready to end their stand-out season at Warsaw’s sectional Saturday.
After its first win in over 30 years against Homestead a couple weeks ago, Columbia City walked away with its first sectional in the school’s history.
The Eagles fought off the week’s rough weather and a 2-1 deficit to overcome Warsaw in the championship match.
Many area sectional matches were postponed for rain, forcing several teams to play two matches in one day.
The Eagles won in a lopsided 5-0 match over Whitko in the first round.
