FORT WAYNE â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s swim team beat North Side decisively Tuesday night in Fort Wayne.
The boys team won 131-44 and the girls defeated the Lady Redskins 119-56.
Columbia City placed first in all 24 events.
Head Coach Kristen Swonger was pleased with the swimmersâ€™ finishes.
â€śThe kids did pretty well,â€ť Swonger said. â€śSome of them showed a lot of improvement tonight, causing shifts to the relay teams for the next meet.â€ť
COLUMBIA CITY â€” Despite rallying to get the score within five in the last four minutes, Churubusco lost to Columbia City Tuesday night, 52-43.
Whitley Countyâ€™s Eagles gave the fans their moneyâ€™s worth, with Churubusco cutting a 25-17 deficit into a three-point game in the third quarter.
The Eagles traded baskets in the first two minutes of the game, until Columbia Cityâ€™s Brandon Gay knocked down a three to give the home team a 5-4 advantage.
Churubuscoâ€™s game plan was to alter the pace of Columbia Cityâ€™s quick tempo.
