COLUMBIA CITY — The East Noble boys’ golf sectional awaits Columbia City Friday, but before the Eagles head into the postseason, one final home match had them squaring off against Central Noble.
The front nine at Eagle Glen Golf Course played host to the Cougars. Central Noble took the low individual round of the night but Columbia City ended the regular season with a win 169-193.
COLUMBIA CITY — After five rain delays the wait was worth it for the Columbia City Lady Eagles.
A week after they were supposed to open the class 3A sectional at Morsches Park, the Lady Eagles capped it off beating Lakeland 6-0 for a 7 p.m. regional date at home against Mishawaka Marian today.
SOUTH WHITLEY — The Columbia City Eagles experienced the good and the bad of the baseball postseason Monday.
Heavy rainfall forced several delays to the Tippecanoe Valley class 3A baseball sectional, and in the end, a move to the Whitko High School diamond.
The day ended with Columbia City on the losing end of an 8-4 championship game against NorthWood. However, the Eagles remained alive long enough to end county rival Whitko’s season.
