County rivalry falls in Columbia City’s favor, 7-1

August 19, 2011

COLUMBIA CITY — Soccer’s version of the Columbia City-Whitko Eel River Rivalry took place Thursday night at the Max Gandy Athletic Field, one week before the schools are scheduled to battle on the same field for football.
The Eagles soccer team was victorious, 7-1.
Columbia City junior Tyler Bolinger sparked the Eagle’s early in the game, scoring two electrifying goals in the first four minutes.
In fact, Bolinger scored the two goals in less than 30 seconds.
