Roush makes All-State team: Harrier shines in ‘season that almost wasn’t’

October 29, 2012

TERRE HAUTE — After a long and trying season for Columbia City stand-out runner Samantha Roush, the harrier made Indiana’s All-State team, placing 24th at Saturday’s state finals in Terre Haute.

A junior this year, this season was Roush’s third year at the state meet.
Last year, Roush came in seventh and she placed 16th as a freshman.
While she may not have placed as well as before, Roush spent much of the 2012 season sidelined due to an injury.

“It was the season that almost wasn’t,” Columbia City Head Coach Bob Fahl said. “Twice.”
