CHURUBUSCO â€” Churubuscoâ€™s volleyball team fell to visiting Heritage Tuesday in four sets on senior night.
Despite the defeat, the Lady Eagles end the regular season above .500 at 15-13.
Conference play looms Saturday, though, and the postseason tournament begins next week.
Against the Lady Patriots, Churubusco Head Volleyball Coach Trinda Goings said her team played better as the match went longer.
â€śWe played with more confidence as the night went along,â€ť she said.
Heritage won by a final of 25-17, 25-9, 26-24 and 25-23.
FORT WAYNE â€” Columbia City paced Whitley County schools by advancing three cross country runners to regional action Saturday.
Gage Emrick, Samantha Roush and Brooke Werstler of Columbia City all qualified at the Fort Wayne Northrop sectional.
Whitkoâ€™s Brigit Nemitz qualifed for regionals at the Northrop meet. Churubuscoâ€™s Jacob Eyer and Blake Gross both advanced from the West Noble sectional.
As a team, the Columbia City girls finished sixth overall with 163 points.
