Roush on to semistate

LIGONIER — Columbia City senior Samantha Roush qualified for the semi-state meet for girls cross country Saturday.

Roush came in fifth at the West Noble regional with a time of 19:03.27. Fremont’s Abigail Hostetler won the girls race at 18:41.94.

It will be the fourth consecutive year for Roush to run at semi-state.

The top five teams and the top 10 individuals not on qualifying teams advance to the semi-state race, which will be held at New Haven at 1 p.m. The other regionals, besides West Noble, that feed into the semi-state are: Delta, Elkhart Central and Marion.
