CHURUBUSCO â€” Churubuscoâ€™s girls basketball team used strong second and fourth quarters to land a 69-46 win over Eastside Friday night.
After facing a 16-11 deficit at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Eagles came back to score 23 points in the second, while holding Eastside to four.
Churubusco used a scoring attack from six different players in the second quarter to steal the lead â€” and never give it back.
Fort Wayne â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s Lady Eagle basketball team traveled to Fort Wayne to take on the 1-3 North Side Lady Redskins with the hopes of getting back in the win column following a heartbreaking home overtime loss to undefeated Leo.

The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the 3-2 Lady Wildcats and was the first win of the year for 1-3 Warsaw.
Warsawâ€™s press wore down Whitko as the game advanced, holding the Lady Wildcats to just 14 second-half points and six in the fourth quarter.
