Eagles drop second game

December 6, 2013

FORT WAYNE — Difficulty getting inside, along with their opponents’ athleticism, made for a difficult Friday for the Columbia City Eagles boys basketball team.

One season after defeating Fort Wayne Northrop, the Eagles fell to the Bruins by a final of 44-24.

There were times when the game was close. Northrop had just a 9-8 lead after one quarter, and Columbia City cut the margin to 20-18 in the third quarter. But overall, it was not enough.
