Jared Murphy signed his National Letter of Intent Wednesday at Columbia City High School. By signing, Murphy officially committed to play NCAA Division I football at Miami University in Ohio. The occasion took place on National Signing Day for Division I College Football.

Columbia City’s girls basketball team begins sectional play tonight at Snider. The Lady Eagles take on Northeast Hoosier Conference foe Carroll. Churubusco and Whitko both play their first rounds on Friday.
HUNTERTOWN — Indian Springs Middle School’s wrestling team traveled to Carroll Middle School for a conference-rival match.
The Eagles of ISMS fought hard and beat the Chargers by a score of 44-33.
Victorious for the Eagles in the varsity lineup were: AJ Chapin, Braden Baker, Jacob Wigent, Hunter Reed, Matt Wright, Seth Rosen, Jacob Whitehead, Jacob Elkins, Jackson Wilcoxson and Weston Ottinger.
