Columbia City track begins on high note

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s girls track team is en route to another successful track season this year.

The Lady Eagles had a repeat title in its first meet, topping both Churubusco and Whitko in the county competition by more than 30 points each.

Columbia City Head Coach Bob Fahl said he feels confident in this season’s team of 31 tracksters.

“We’re in pretty good shape,” Fahl said.

The Lady Eagles return nearly all of their athletes from last year’s sectional-title winning team, and adds a few key newcomers that may play a large role on this season’s team.
