COLUMBIA CITY — “There’s a reason they play the game.”
That old-time phrase proved true Tuesday night at Morsches Park in Columbia City’s Coaches Pitch Championship game.
Despite falling to the No. 1 seed, Trok & Krider, by an 11-4 score in the regular season, C.C. Veterinary Hospital (seeded third) pulled through for a 6-5 win to go home with the tournament title.
“We knew it would be a tough game,” Head Coach Cory Patrick said. “We’ve seen them play and they’re pretty solid.”
