GARRETT â€” Whitkoâ€™s volleyball team fell in a match at Garrett Saturday.
The Lady Wildcats swept Hamilton in two sets. Whitko fell in three sets to New Haven and Central Noble and also lost to Eastside.
Whitney Hobbs of Whitko was an all-tournament player for the Lady Wildcats. She had 22 kills, 10 blocks, seven aces and 11 digs.

Whitko was defeated 1-0 by the Squires in the first game, and fell 2-0 in the second game against North Miami.
SYRACUSE â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s boys tennis team went 0-3 without a complete squad at the Wawasee Invitational Saturday.
Eagle No. 1 singles player Niko Rongos went 3-0 on the day to improve his record to 8-0 for the year.
He scored the lone victories for Columbia City in the match-ups against Fairfield and Jimtown.
In the match with the host-Warriors, Columbia City fell 3-2, losing the final match by forfeit to make the difference.
Rongos won the No. 1 singles match on a super 10 tie-break in the third set.
MARION â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s girls cross country team came in eighth at the Marion Invitational Saturday, and the boys were 13th.
The Lady Eagle runners were led by Samantha Roush, who came in third overall in a race that featured 111 runners.
For Roush, it was a season-best time of 18:55. She was followed by teammate Brooke Werstler, who posted a season-best of 21:10 to come in 39th.
Shelby Allison was 61st, and Samina Qureshi 62nd for the Lady Eagles.
Natalia Johnson was 69th with a person-best time of 22:31.
NORTH MANCHESTER â€” Whitkoâ€™s girls soccer team competed in the Manchester Invitational Saturday, along with several other Three Rivers Conference girls soccer teams â€” Rochester, North Miami and Manchester.
The Lady Wildcats won in a shootout over the hosts, advancing to the championship game against Rochester â€” another game that ended in a tiebreaking shootout.
The Lady â€™Cats fell 3-1 in the tiebreaker, giving the Lady Zebras the invite title.
WEST LAFAYETTE â€” Columbia City High School golfer Tyler Green took home second place at Boys 15-19 Division Fall season-opener at the Kampen Golf Course of Purdue University.
Green shot 142 to tie winner Zach Gurtner, then fell in a playoff on the second hole.
Gurtner had two rounds of 71. Green had 75 in his first round, and then rolled to a sizzling 67 in the second round with two birdies and a par on the final three holes.
