ANGOLA â€” A gigantic defensive effort propelled Churubuscoâ€™s football team to a road victory Friday.
The Eagles beat Angola 14-7 to remain unbeaten for the season.
â€™Busco was propelled out of the gate with an opening kickoff return touchdown by Logan Harris.
The senior took the ball 80 yards for the score.
WABASH â€” Whitko continued its domination of the Three Rivers Conference Friday night after blowing out Wabash, 51-7.
The Wildcats are now 3-0 in the TRC and 3-2 overall.
Tanner Hughes led the Wildcats with three touchdowns, 193 rushing yards and 12.1 yards per carry.
Hughes scored the opening TD for Whitko. Two minutes into the game on a 51-yard, 5-play drive, Hughes took the ball to the end zone from the 4-yard line to put the â€™Cats on the board.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” It is midseason, and the injury bug has started to bite, but Columbia Cityâ€™s football team was able to rally the troops and beat DeKalb on homecoming.
The Eagles beat the Barons 34-12.
Columbia City stepped onto the field absent quarterback Travis Herbst, who Head Coach Randy Hudgins said was day-to-day as far as his status. In his stead, Trevor Bolt stepped in and led the Eagle offense.
