Whitkoâ€™s junior varsity softball team came out on top of a double-header against county-rival Columbia City, beating the Lady Eagles 13-3 and 15-5.
In the first game, held Saturday, the Lady Wildcats came out firing on all cylinders.
The offense was led by Tori Silveus, Emily Hughes, Tressa Keim and Jamie Tolson.
Silveus had three hits and four RBIs. Hughs had a home run and a double. Keim posted three hits, including a triple and a double.
Tolson added two hits.
Silveus also led the Lady Wildcats on the mound, striking out nine and earning the pitching win.
Whitkoâ€™s boys and girls track teams came out on top of a three-way meet against Three Rivers Conference foes Tippecanoe Valley and North Miami.
The Lady Wildcats took a strong win, earning 75 points. Tippy Valley tallied 49 points and North Miami came in third with 29 points.
The boys meet had a similar score. Whitko won with 73 points, Valley had 55 and North Miami posted 25 points.
In the girls meet, Whitko placed first and second in the 100-meter dash, 300-meter hurdles, 1,600-meter run, high jump and long jump.
