A Columbia City golfer shot a 68 in Carmel at the Indiana State Golf Finals Tuesday afternoon to lead the state.
The Eagles are sitting sixth out of 15 teams heading into Wednesday's final round.
WHITLEY COUNTY â€” Heavy rainfall throughout the evening hours on Monday caused minor flooding in low-lying areas, even across some roadways.
Weather reports say localized rainfall amounts of 2 inches or more fell in parts of Whitley County. However, most roads are safe to pass today as standing water has receded.
Though the chance of additional rain for today is slight, the National Weather Service is forecasting higher chances for precipitation throughout the week.
A flood warning continues for most of Whitley County, as deemed by the National Weather Service at North Webster.
Columbia City has recorded nearly 2 inches of rain since Monday, while other locations in the county have received in excess of 2 inches.
Many roadways are covered in water, particularly in rural areas.
The impact zone for flooding is generally along and south of U.S. 30.
Another round or rainfall is expected at mid-week.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” The future of Columbia City High School was discussed at Monday night's school board meeting.
Several community leaders spoke at the meeting, including the EDC president, Whitley County Community Foundation leader, director of the Whitley County Family YMCA and United Way director.

COLUMBIA CITY â€” East-bound U.S. 30 is restricted to one lane due to an accident near the Ind. 205 intersection. Motorist should use caution and plan for a delayed commute.
Crews responded to C&R Plating again Sunday after reports of the building being on fire again. After fire fighters cleared the scene, they were called back out to the scene for a third time.
There was no information available on the cause or origin of the fire.
