Columbia City wins rivalry game over Whitko

November 25, 2011

SOUTH WHITLEY — This year’s Columbia City-Whitko rivalry game didn’t come down to a last-second shot like last year.
In fact, Columbia City took the lead 3:30 into the game and never looked back, winning 61-41.
But the loss wasn’t from lack of Wildcat effort, more like bad luck.
Expected Whitko starter Lucky Winters was out of the game with an ACL tear, and Head Coach Rob Irwin isn’t sure of his status.
Logan Irwin’s 20 points was about half of the Wildcats’ offensive output.
