COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s girls tennis team made quick work of Whitley County rival Churubusco Monday night.
The host Columbia City team took a definitive 5-0 win.
Celine Rongos set the tone for Columbia City, topping her ’Busco opponent, Cheyenne Conner, by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
In No. 2 singles, Kennedy Slavicek beat Churubusco’s Audrey Gierscher 6-1, 6-0.
The No. 3 singles match was slightly more competitive, as Churubusco’s Madi Cook put up a 6-4, 6-4, fight against the winning Lauren Rivas.
