SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko’s junior varsity baseball squad took both ends of a double-header Saturday, defeating John Adams 9-4 in game one and 10-0 in game two.
In the opener, pitcher Reed Brace earned the win with four innings of relief.
Brace didn’t give up an earned run, while striking out three.
Riley Anderson went 2-for-4 from the plate with a double and an RBI, and Brady Weeks added a double and two RBIs.
The Wildcats posted strong third and fifth innings, scoring three runs apiece, to take a strong lead going into the final innings, when John Adams went on a run of its own.
