Eagles drop match to NHC foe

September 4, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — For 36 minutes, the Columbia City boys soccer team went toe-to-toe with Homestead.

Once the Spartans found the net, it would be the beginning of a scoring barrage the Eagles could not match.

In the first period, the lone goal came with 3:37 showing on the clock when Anthony Jimenez recorded his first of six goals to give the 20th-ranked Spartans a lead it would take to the locker room at the end of 40 minutes.
