2 killed in Fort Wayne shootings

April 1, 2013

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Fort Wayne area police are investigating a string of weekend shootings that left two men dead and two others badly wounded.
An area newspaper reports two of the four weekend shootings happened Sunday. In one, a man died after being critically wounded outside a nightclub. Later in the day, a second man was brought to a Fort Wayne hospital with a gunshot wound and later died.
Police say the other shooting death came Saturday morning when 65-year-old Robert W. Kanyuh was fatally shot during a home invasion at his Allen County home.
A second shooting on Saturday occurred near a Fort Wayne park and left a man in critical condition.
Fort Wayne police spokesman officer John Chambers says it’s unclear if the three city shootings are related.
