2013 SALARY: City looking to pass ordinance with no raises

November 29, 2012

COLUMBIA CITY — The Columbia City Common Council is moving to pass an ordinance fixing annual salaries of all city elected officials for next year. The ordinance will not allow for any raises.

“We have already passed the salaries for employees, but we have not yet passed the salaries for elected officials,” said Mayor Ryan Daniel at Tuesday’s council meeting. “We need to get moving on this in order to make sure it gets passed for first reading and second reading before the end of the year.”
