January 31, 2011

COLUMBIA CITY — A trial date has been set for the former Whitley County man accused of child molesting.
Terry R. Campbell, 64, was in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday for a pre-trial conference.
Campbell’s public defender, Brad Voelz, requested a June trial.
Whitley County Circuit Court Judge James Heuer set the trial date for June 7 with a final pre-trial conference slated for May 23.
Campbell, who now lists Anderson as his residence, has been charged with two counts of child molesting in connection with alleged incidents that occurred with a five-year-old girl in July, according to the Whitley County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the police report, Campbell lived in Churubusco at the time of the incidents, which the report says occurred between Jan. 1 and July 10 of last year.
The charges were filed against Campbell Dec. 3.
