ACE CELEBRATION: Local hardware continues sales events

April 26, 2014

COLUMBIA CITY – Ace Hardware, established in 1924, is continuing its national sales celebration of 90 years in business as being "the helpful place."

Big April sales specials continue this weekend and through Monday, April 28. A special advertising page is on B8 of the Weekend Edition of The Post & Mail.

Locally, Columbia City's Teghtmeyer Ace Hardware Store, located at 200 Diplomat Drive, is in it's 54th year as a community business fixture. The store's beginnings were in downtown Columbia City on the northside of the Courthouse Square. The late Jim Teghtmeyer, a former Columbia City mayor, purchased the downtown business from his parents in 1966, which re-located to its present location as a state-of-the-art hardware store in 1988. The store is currently owned by Alicia Teghtmeyer Johnson and Nickey Teghtmeyer.
