COLUMBIA CITY â€” A national organization, sometimes referred to as the best-kept secret in America, is having an impact in Northeast Indiana.
The Civil Air Patrol U.S. Air Force Auxiliary (CAP) is a congressionally-chartered nonprofit that has youth and adult volunteers serving nationwide.
In the area, there are two groups that meet in Fort Wayne, and there are some Whitley County residents that participate.
Jay Stiles is a local citizen whose son, Theron, is a cadet with INCAP 201 in Fort Wayne. Jay also works as a volunteer, which many parents take as an opportunity to help.
