COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County Amateur Radio Field Day will begin Saturday at 2 p.m. and last until Sunday at 2 p.m.
The event is being presented by the Whitley County Amateur Radio Club.
This year, the event will be located at the Copsgear building at 3065 W. U.S. 30, Columbia City. This is a 24 hour event.
The public is invited to come ask questions about amateur radio and see what operators do. They can even help make contacts over the air or send a message to loved ones and friends.
This local event is part of the Amateur Radio Relay League Field Day held across North America.
ARRL Field Day is the single most popular on-the-air event held annually in the U.S. and Canada. Each year, over 35,000 amateurs gather with their clubs, friends or simply by themselves to operate.
