AND THE WINNER IS: Kreider, Hinen new Mr./Miss Whitley Co.

COLUMBIA CITY — Jennifer Hinen and Isaiah Kreider were named Mr. and Miss Whitley County last night.

Hinen is a 10-year 4-H member from Columbia City High School. She is the daughter of Jeff and Cindy Hinen, and was sponsored by Hoffman Farms.

Kreider is also a 10 -year 4-H member from CCHS. He is the son of David and Judy Kreider and was sponsored by Wolf Lake Feed and Farm Supplies.

By garnering the Mr. and Miss title, the pair received several keepsakes and $800 scholarships for each of them.

Skylar Campbell and Katie Barnett, the 2012 Mr. and Miss Whitley County, gave emotional farewell speeches.

“We are humbled to be your Mr. and Miss Whitley County,” said Barnett.

“This has been the most amazing year,” said Campbell.

As the 2013 Mr. and Miss Whitley County, Kreider and Hinen will have numerous duties at the upcoming Whitley County 4-H Fair. Along with appearances, the pair will hand out awards, participate in the auction and greet their fans.
