February 5, 2014

ANGOLA — Churubusco’s basketball squads both lost in a doubleheader at Angola Monday.

The boys lost 64-52, and the girls team was defeated 55-38, in a doubleheader that was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was moved up to Monday due to concerns over potential adverse weather.

In the boys game, the Eagles fell behind by 10 points after one quarter, 17-7. Churubusco closed the gap by six in the second to make the halftime margin 25-21 in favor of the host Hornets.
