Apaches top Wildcat tennis

SOUTH WHITLEY â€” Visiting Wabash downed the Whitko boys tennis team Wednesday.
The Apaches defeated the Wildcats by a final of 4-1.
Tyler Baugher was the lone Whitko winner, picking up a victory in No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
At No. 2 singles, Blake Castle of Whitko dropped his match, 6-3, 6-4. Cole Bechtold lost 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. In doubles play, the No. 1 doubles pair of Alex Bechtold and Bailey Platt fell 6-3, 6-1, and the No. 2 doubles combo of Reed Brace and Alex Robbins lost for the Wildcats, 6-2, 6-1.
In junior varsity action, Nic Rose scored an 8-4 win in No. 1 singles. Whitko hosts Churubusco Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Wildcats lose to Vikings
MENTONE â€” Whitkoâ€™s boys tennis team lost a Three Rivers Conference match-up to Tippecanoe Valley Tuesday.
