APOLOGY FOR 'POOR JUDGMENT': Auditor resigns during investigation

COLUMBIA CITY — In an exclusive interview with The Post & Mail in July, McGuire offered her public apology for her “poor judgement.” The Indiana State Board of Accounts is also investigating, according to Commissioner George Schrumpf. After allegations of improprieties led Jennifer McGuire to take a leave of absence from her position as Whitley County Auditor, she officially resigned her duties Wednesday with a letter to Gov. Mike Pence.
