Area blood mobile collects 57 pints from 66 donors

Whitley County’s Ellen Hively reached a milestone few people achieve Thursday at the Red Cross Bloodmobile.

Hively received recognition for giving 28 gallons of blood to help a possible 672 patients.

Columbia City United Methodist Church hosted the bloodmobile.
Fifty-seven pints were collected from 66 potential donors.
