CANDLER FLA. — Arlene Anderson, 72 of Candler, Fla. passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2011 at Tuscany House Hospice in Summerfield, Fla.
She was born Aug. 3, 1938 in Amline, Ohio and moved to Candler, Fla. in 1979 from Port Charlotte, Fla.
She attended Faith Baptist Church and was a great supporter of mission work.
She and her husband were members of the Goldwing Riders Association.
Arlene loved sewing, cooking, traveling, camping, water skiing and boating, but most of all she loved spending time with her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James “Verl” Anderson of Candler, Fla.; her two daughters, Shelly L. Drummond of Roanoke; Cristy L. McGuire of Churubusco; her mother, Maryetta Patton of Coldwater, MI; her two brothers, James Geese of Ft. Wayne; John Geese of New Haven; her two sisters, Cora Foupht of Coldwater, Mich. and Mary Lou Hamilton of Galloway, Ohio, 12 loving grandchildren and 21 loving great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Milton Geese.
Graveside service was held July 22, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ocala, Fla.
A memorial service will be held Sept. 3, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at the Huntington University Habecker Dining Commons Banquet Room with Rev. Jim Drummond officiating.
Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
