May 25, 2012

COLUMBIA CITY — Parkview Whitley Hospital has been awarded a VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence by VHA Inc.
The award was presented at VHA’s 2012 Leadership Conference in Denver.
The award honors Parkview Whitley for meeting or exceeding national performance standards.

VHA presents awards annually to health care organizations that achieve top performance on clinical core measures.
The core measures are established and tracked by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Providers and Services (HCAHPS) survey.
The survey measures patient satisfaction at hospitals nationwide.

This is out of more than 1,350 VHA-member hospitals.
“This is a great honor to be recognized nationally for providing excellent care to patients,” said Scott Gabriel, chief operating officer, Parkview Whitley Hospital.
