COLUMBIA CITY — In Tuesday’s meeting, Columbia City’s Common Council passed a more specific version of its ordinance banning strip clubs.
Language was included in the revised ordinance, explicitly stating what constituted a nude or semi-nude act.
It also included the definition of a commercial establishment.
There was a section of the ordinance that included provisions for areas where nudity is normally allowed — such as locker rooms, hotels and doctor’s offices. Those establishments would not constitute an ordinance violation under normal conditions.
Provisions were also included for genuine protest as protected by the constitution.
