BARROW OVER A BARREL: Pig wrestling 4-H fair ‘fun’

A Pig Wrestling contest was held Tuesday evening at the Whitley County 4-H Fair. Teams worked to catch a swine and place it on a barrel in the center of a mud-filled ring. Pictured is the Bacon Babes team — Sarah Minier, Hailey Hinen, Cali Christman and Dalila Geiger.

COLUMBIA CITY — With more than 80 teams competing Tuesday evening, the Whitley County 4-H Fairs’ Pig Wrestling contest proved to be a fan favorite again. This is the third year for the event and fair coordinators said the entertainment rivals the ever-popular demolition derbies, to be held tonight at 7 p.m.
