BEAT THE HEAT: Splash pad provides cool plunge

Local residents have been taking the opportunity to beat the summer heat by spending time at Columbia City’s Splash Pad in Morsches Park. Pictured, three-year--old Kayne Sledge pours water he collected from the splash pad back and forth between bottles. Burnworth Memorial Pool is also open daily from noon to 6 p.m. and noon to 8 p.m. on Mondays.
