LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — Bernard Howard Trombley II, 52, of Lansing, Kan., died Thursday, June 23, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan.
He was born Aug. 5, 1958, in Columbia City, the son of Bernard Howard and Augustina J. (Vigneaux) Trombley of Columbia City.
He married Myong Kuk Aug. 23, 1993, in Junction City, Kan. She survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Crystin Seo and Brian Hyun Seo; his parents; and his siblings, Judy (Roger) Hartman of Columbia City, Ina (Bill) Martz of Nappanee, Laurie Trombley of Columbia City, Connie (Scott Gilmore) Trombley of Wichita Falls, Texas; Tina Trombley of Columbia City, Ms. Tammy Watts of Columbia City, Paul Trombley of Columbia City and Tracy Stephens (Todd Reed) of Churubusco.
Bernard retired from the U.S. Army following 26 years of service; he was a veteran of Desert Storm. He was employed with Northrup Grumman.
A funeral service with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at R.L. Leintz Funeral Home, Leavenworth, Kan. Cremation will follow the service with private interment at Fort Leavenworth.
