LIGONIER — Betty J. Minnick, 83, of Ligonier, formerly of North Webster and Syracuse, died at 2:24 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Larwill, to Cecil H. & Rachel Ann (Friend) Paulus.
She was married on Nov. 23, 1946, in North Webster to Harry E. Minnick Jr. who survives.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Minnick of Ligonier; one daughter, Suzanne Shock of Ligonier; three sons, Mike Minnick of Ligonier, Matt Minnick of Sarasota, Fla. and Marshall Minnick of Syracuse; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Cecil Paulus of Leesburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Mark Minnick, infant twins and a brother, Eugene Paulus.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 and CR 500 N, North Webster.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition) with Pastor Steve Leinbach of the Believers Fellowship Church in Middlebury officiating.
Memorial bequests may be given to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
