Beverly Sailors, 72

Beverly (Simmons-Wiley) Sailors, 72 of Fort Wayne, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Renaissance Village in Fort Wayne.
Beverly was a 1958 graduate of Huntington Township High School. She attended International Business College. She was employed in the medical field for many years, including Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Sun Coast Hospital in Florida and Dr. B. Trent Cooper in Roanoke.
She was a past member of the American Business Women’s Association Huntington Chapter.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1940, in Huntington, a daughter of James and Zelma (Hillegas) Simmons.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Jeff Shultz of Columbia City, Brian (Jo) Shultz of Churubusco; a daughter, Jennifer Abbett of Roanoke; a sister, Denise (Bevan) Brauchla of Huntington; special sister-in-law, Helen Sue “Suzie” Martz; five grandchildren and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father James Simmons, her mother and stepfather, Zelma and Earl Wiley; sister, Pamela (Wiley) St Clair; stepmother, Edna Simmons and a stepsister, Barbara Benson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday following visitation at 6 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Dr. Ray Seilhamer officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requested memorial donations are made out to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.
