UP FOR BID: Parkview Oaks and Pointe looking for buyer

February 22, 2013

Columbia City — Parkview Whitley Hospital today announced that it is seeking a buyer for Parkview Oaks and Parkview Pointe.

The campus, located at 411 Wolf Rd. in Columbia City, is a skilled nursing facility and residential/senior living community that serves over 100 residents.

Parkview Whitley Hospital focuses on its fundamental expertise in primary and acute medical care. Leaders at Parkview Whitley Hospital and Parkview Health believe the residents of Parkview Oaks and Parkview Pointe can be best served with an owner who specializes in senior care.

A potential buyer will be selected through a request for proposal process that has already begun.

Parkview officials have met with Parkview Oaks and Parkview Pointe co-workers to provide additional information and answer questions. Residents and family members were notified earlier this week and meetings will be scheduled with anyone that may have any questions about this transition.

Parkview Oaks and Parkview Pointe co-workers will have the opportunity to apply for open positions within Parkview Health. Parkview Oaks and Parkview Pointe co-workers may also have the opportunity to be considered for employment through the entity that chooses to purchase the campus.

Parkview officials state they are committed to selecting a quality organization to take over the ownership and operations of the campus that has been a part of the hospital since 1993.
