Bike Tour

The Whitley County 4-H Bicycle Club with the Whitley County division of Optimist International is holding a Tour De Loops II bicycle touring event for anyone wishing to participate.
Not a race, the bike touring will take place Sunday with registration beginning at 8 a.m. at the Whitley County 4-H Fairgrounds. A buffet lunch will be provided for participants from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration fee is $20.
The event features four 25-mile loop routes, one 10-mile loop route and one 15-mile mountain bike trail. All loops are flat to rolling with several challenging grades, none requiring extremely low gears. Anyone may ride any number or all of the loops, or ride a favorite any number of times. Each loop will have a sag stop halfway and sag vehicles in case of emergency.
The loops are all within Whitley County and pass through the communities of Etna, Tri-Lakes, Laud, Collins and South Whitley.
