Rev. Bill C. Stephens, 70, of Sidney, went home to be with the Lord at 6:45 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014.
He was born Nov. 24, 1943, in Hueysville, Ky., to Dave & Mary (Slone) Stephens. On Oct. 19, 1968, he married Joyce Parks. He was a pastor with Pentecostal Church of God for 40 or more years and worked at G.E., Fort Wayne, for 31 years. He retired in 1997. He was a member of Sweetwater Assembly of God, North Manchester.
He liked gardening and loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Stephens, of Sidney; three daughters, Sheila (Keith) Smith, of Sidney, Michelle Dillon, of Sidney, and Cheryl (Justin) Harshman, of Akron; two brothers, Joe (Pam) Stephens, of Marion, Ohio and Dwayne (Rita) Stephens, of Marion, Ohio; three sisters, Barb (Kenneth) Keel, of South Whitley, Callie (Don) Conrad, of Columbia City, and Donna (Frank) Fahl, of Columbia City; and three grandchildren, Meagan Smith, Joshua Smith and Clayton Harshman.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters are deceased. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Ind. 15 South, Silver Lake, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Ind. 15 South, Silver Lake. Rev. Frank Whitaker and Pastor Chad McAtee will officiate. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, IN.
