Billy L. Ottinger, 80, of Columbia City, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012. He was a farmer and worked at GE for 25 years.
Billy was born May 27, 1932 in Whitley County, the son of Haven and Fay (Fairchild) Ottinger.
On Oct. 24, 1953, he married Shirley Ann Hyser at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Columbia City. She passed away June 4, 2009.
Surviving relatives include, three daughters, Gloria (David) Pequignot, Patricia (Mark) Pequignot and Julie (Eric) Blakley; four sons, Terry Ottinger, Randy (Cheryl) Ottinger, Mark Ottinger and Todd (Diane) Ottinger; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Thursday at Saturn Christian Church, 6731 E. 800 S., Columbia City. Pastor Russell D. Riley will be officiating. The burial will follow in Jefferson Chapel Cemetery, Whitley County.
