PIERCETON — In May, 3-year-old Blaire Deeter was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, which is a rare cancerous tumor in the eye’s retina.
Retinoblastoma is rapidly-developing cancer that develops in the cells of retina, the light-detecting tissue of the eye.
Blaire is the daughter of Whitko High School graduate Katie Deeter and granddaughter of Debbie (Deeter) Reed, who also graduated from WHS.
To offset medical expenses for Blaire’s treatments in Cincinnati, “Blaire’s Ride” will take place Saturday with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. at The Post in Pierceton.
The ride will begin at 11 a.m. at The Post with five stops planned.
The final destination will be The Legion Post #258 in Pierceton with a hog roast, entertainment, corn hole tournament, raffles and 50/50 drawings.
The cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger. Cost for the hog roast to non-riders is $8 and $5 for children under 10 years old.
