Work began last week on the trail for the Blue River Trail extension project, which will extend the trail eight tenths of a mile, opening it up to residents north of Morsches Park. According to Columbia City Community Development Director Jeff Walker, slight modifications have been made to the exact routing and elevations of the trail, allowing better drainage of the field as well as the option to save some additional trees.
