Pakistan's ruling coalition says it would move to impeach President Pervez Musharraf and warns him against dismissing the government. The move is likely to deepen political uncertainty in the nuclear-armed Muslim nation, a key U.S. ally, which already faces a faltering economy and a growing threat from Islamist militancy. Asif Ali Zardari, widower of slain former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and head of the coalition, said parliament would be called this month to begin impeachment proceedings. |

Kenya remembers embassy terror blast |

Hundreds of survivors, relatives and friends gather at the former site of Nairobi's U.S. embassy to remember the 1998 terror blast that killed over 200 people. Speaking at a memorial ceremony commemorating the tenth anniversary of explosions at Washington's missions in the Kenyan capital and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga said the international community must solve work towards ending world crises to prevent extremism. A simultaneous attack on the United States embassy in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania also killed several people and left scores injured. |
