COLUMBIA CITY — Mayor Ryan Daniel and the Columbia City Park Board will be breaking ground on the new Blue River Trail Extension Saturday.
The ground breaking will take place on the north side of U.S. 30 in Morsches Park at 12:30 p.m.
According to Columbia City Park Director Mark Green, the project will extend the trail eight tenths of a mile, which will open up the park to citizens on the north side of the city.
Green said the extension will begin just south of the pond in Morshes Park, cross over the river and end near DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home.
