Brian Dee Weigold, 60, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes in his home April 11, 2014. He was born April 12, 1953.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia Dolson Weigold; a son, Eric William Weigold of Elkhart; three daughters, Megan Renee Weigold (fiancÃ© Christopher Cook) of Adrian, Mich., Sarah Joan Weigold (fiancÃ© Joseph Avery) of Cassopolis, Mich., and Heather Arispa Weigold, a freshman at Indiana University, Bloomington; his mother, D. Joan Weigold of Noble County; brother, John Weigold of Austin, Texas; and two sisters, Peggy McCarthy (Kerry) of Columbia City, and Sally Charette (Dana) of Acton, Calif.
His father, Herbert A. Weigold, preceded him in death April 17, 1990.
Brian graduated from Central Noble High School in 1971, and received his bachelorâ€™s degree from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1981.
As a quality control and building code professional, he worked for the state of Arkansas, HUD, NTA Engineering of Nappanee and Liberty Homes in Goshen. Most recently he worked for Tom Arnold & Associates engineering firm in Elkhart.
Brianâ€™s passions, other than his family, included tennis, billiards, IU basketball, travel (especially to Jamaica and Southern France) and home improvement projects.
A celebration of life ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. May 17, at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1732 Garden St., Elkhart.
