Burns has 90 days revoked

January 22, 2014

COLUMBIA CITY — A Columbia City woman who violated her probation had 90 days of her suspended sentence revoked Tuesday.

Heather R. Burns, 27, had 90 days of her suspended sentence revoked. She was sentenced to the Whitley County Jail for that time, with an assignment to Whitley County Work Release.

Burns was originally on probation for multiple drug charges.
In late 2013, her probation officer, Ed Beber, petitioned that Burns had committed a probation violation. The petition stated Burns had tested positive for a controlled substance.

Burns admitted her violation in December with the intent of being placed on work release.
