SOUTH WHITLEY — It was the same results at a different place in this season’s Whitley County track meet.
As it ended in 2012, Columbia City’s girls and Churubusco’s boys track teams led the county.
Whitko hosted the rivalry event and placed second in both the girls and boys meets.
The competition was the first outdoor meet for all three schools, who have hardly had the opportunity to practice outside due to cold, snowy conditions.
Polar opposite from last season, which saw temperatures as high as the 80s in March.
Churubusco swept the throwing events, with Austin McClure placing first in both shot put and discus. ’Busco’s Gunnar Barnhart took second in the discus and teammate Eric Kuznar placed second in shot put.
